Home ownership – everybody’s dream. But have you ever come to a decision that you will buy a house of your own after long years of working instead of spending your hard-earned-money on paying the rent? Well, you have made a good choice. Home ownership means having a place that you can call home and where your family can have their own place. Perhaps the most wonderful thing about having your own home means never having to pay for a monthly rent that stretches your monthly budget.
What kind of house should you buy? There are basically three different types of homes in the market that are desirable to real estate investors. These homes are residential single family homes, condominiums or apartments, and luxury townhomes. However, the luxury townhome and condominiums are considered the fast selling homes these days. So if you are thinking of buying either of the two fast selling homes, make sure that you know their differences especially on their features and price.
A condominium is built in a higher structure than a townhouse. Condos (short for condominiums) are split up by a wall where there are 2-4 units in each floor. A large parking lot is also set up for car owners who are renting a unit. Luxury townhomes, on the other hand, are available separately and are linked to other townhouses by a wall. Depending on the style of a luxury townhome, they are either duplex or triplex. The parking space in a condo is usually shared in one floor with the other owners while in townhouses; it is situated in front or at the back of the house.
Both have almost the same structure and features inside like a kitchen, 1- or 2- bedrooms and bathrooms, and a living room. A recreational area can also be found in both types of homes however, the recreational area in a condo can be found in a particular floor while that of a townhouse is built in a particular area.
When you buy a townhouse, it means you own both the unit and the land, whereas buying a condo means just owning the unit itself and not the land where the building is built. Condo is much cheaper than a luxury townhome for the reason that you are purchasing not only the unit but the land as well in a townhouse, whereas in a condo you are only acquiring a particular unit of a building.
Now that you know the basic difference between the two most fast selling homes in the country, weigh the pros and cons before deciding which one is beneficial to your family and that your family will surely enjoy staying at.
These are just a few of the things that you have to consider if you decide to buy a condo or a luxury townhomes. Experience convenience and style with condos and a luxury townhome.
